You'll notice that I've added a widget to my sidebar for Doctor's Without Borders (Medecins sans Frontieres). This is an organization that I've supported in the past; they are doing fantastic work around the world, but most importantly, right now in Haiti. Please consider a donation to support these brave physicians, nurses and ancillary personnel who work in some of the most dangerous places in the world delivering medical care. They were on the ground in Haiti even before the earthquake; they are doing vital work there after the disaster as well.

Hi, Evelyn! I just recently read on a local list-serve for burningman that DWB was not accepting anymore donations because they had reached their budget. Unclear if that was a current fact since the Haiti disaster or noted from a previous time. At any rate, what a together organization. They have a specific figure and stick to it. Sort of like budgetary closure. Unusual.
