The Family

Becky just posted new photos on Shutterfly! Here's the gang. That is Chase in the middle. I can hardly believe how big he's gotten. And talking to him on the phone...who is that man with the deep voice? Surely it can't be my little Punky?? Travis is sitting on a stump, so Chase really isn't taller than his dad. But he is taller than Becky! This looks like it could become a Christmas card photo, don't you think?

PS...you'll want to check back in the next couple of days. I'll be making a BIG announcement!

Road Trip!

By the time you read this, I will be on my way to Montana to visit two of my favorite little people! There's nothing I like better than a good road trip that includes people I love at the end of it. Oh yeah, I'll be visiting Travis and Becky, too...it's just had to find a photo that includes everyone. Maybe I can take care of that during my visit! I'll try to blog while I'm away, but no promises. I may be way too busy giving kisses and hugs! You understand, I'm sure.

Bathing Beauty and Water Boy

Becky's posted new photos on Shutterfly, so of course, I have to share! We are all water-lovers in my family....looks like that's been passed on to our newest members as well.

Birthdays, Birthdays!

There in the foggy mist at Chico Hot Springs lurk two birthday kids. Travis' birthday was Monday, Feb. 1st and Becky's birthday is today. It's so hard to find a photo of both of them together. Becky is usually behind the camera for family shots. This picture was taken over the Christmas holidays while Chase was visiting. He's back there behind Becky. Parker is chewing on his finger and Marley is looking quite glam in her little knit hat. Why the hat, you ask? The hot springs pool is outside. As warm as the water is, it's still winter in Montana and I'm sure her little head was cold. Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Travis and Becky!

Dad and His Brood

It's been a long week, so I was very pleased to find an email from Becky saying she had uploaded some new photos in Shutterfly. What fun to enjoy Christmas through her camera's eye! Almost as much fun as actually being there. So many nice shots to choose from; I know I'll be posting a few more in the upcoming days. This one, though, just made me smile :-) Seeing Travis with his lovely children made my 'grandma heart' sing! And who can resist grinning right along with that little Marley?

Wishful Thinking

There's really no special reason for this photo except:
the weather here stinks
I'm stuck at home...again
I miss my grandkids
I wish it was summer and I was back in San Diego
and it makes me feel better to remember the fun we had at the beach!

Christmas Angels

No surprise, I guess, that yesterday's CD was full of photos! I'm thrilled. This is the photo that Trav and Becky used for their Christmas card. I actually took it at La Jolla in October when we were all in San Diego.

This one of Marley and Parker is also on their card...

There isn't a better gift in the world for a grandmother than pictures of her 'angels!'

Meet Marley!

I received email piccs from Becky and just have to share our beautiful baby with you! Isn't she just too sweet? Love her little hat...and no, I didn't make it. I don't do anything that requires holding 'sticks' and making them work.

This is a picture that the hospital took of the whole family. I'll share more photos tomorrow.

"Houston, We Have a Baby"

Marley has arrived! This old picture of her will have to do until her folks have time to email me a new one. She was born yesterday, April 4th at 4:46pm in Livingston, Montana. She weighed in at 8 lbs. 11 oz and was 20 inches long. Becky's labor started at 11am, but Travis said once it got real, it only took about 20 minutes for Marley to make her debut. Everyone is fine! When I talked with Travis, little bro, Parker, hadn't seen the new arrival yet...I think his world just got turned upside-down! More later...

One More...

I can't resist...one more proud mom/grandma photo. Parker and Travis were swimming in one of the warm pools at Chico Hot Springs. This photo was taken over the Christmas holiday. Chase was there swimming, too, but all of his pictures have his hair hanging in his face. It's a teenager thing. Parker loves the water.

My Other Passion

I've spent several days blogging about Paris and Provence. Please indulge me with a post or two about my other passion...the kids in my life! This is Parker. He's halfway tbetween 2 and 3 years old and is expecting his new baby sister to arrive soon. She's due on March 24 and Becky thinks she'll be right on time. This picture of Parker was taken in January when Becky made a trip to South Carolina to see her family. There were so many cute ones to choose from, but I really liked this one. Stay tuned for another photo tomorrow.

News Flash!

Our baby-to-be has a name! She's Marley Grace and I love it. Travis picked Marley...he's a huge Bob Marley fan. Becky picked Grace for her grandmother. Only Trav and I know that this will be a true little rock-n-roll girl. Shh! don't tell...she's really Grace for Grace Slick. Oh okay--maybe not!

It's a Girl!

Okay...I realize this isn't as exciting to you as it is to me. You'll just have to indulge me a moment. This is the very first picture of my newest grandchild. She's expected on March 24, 2009 and we couldn't be more pleased. Although I did share with Becky that I'm a bit shaky about 'doing girls.' It's always been boys in my family. I think I can get used to buying frilly dresses, socks with lace and ruffled panties! And this could be the perfect excuse (as if I needed one) for a trip to Paris. You simply can't believe the adorable shops there filled with baby clothes.
